He lounged around, took a nap, and pretty much acted pathetic like all day. Poor dude! While he was snoozing, I left the house to meet my dad at work so we could go to the mall together. I want to get him a good father's day gift and he has been talking about getting a pair of Oakleys. I told him I wouldn't get him any without him trying them on. He said "okay mom." But guess who was right.:) While looking for a pair of sunglasses I set my phone down on the counter of the Sunglasses Hut. We went around to the other side to look at more Oakleys. In that time that we were looking I noticed two people come up to the counter and I thought looked at some Oakleys. When my dad had finally picked out a pair he liked, I went to grab my phone which happened to be gone!! I asked the lady if she knocked it towards her side of counter. She replied no. I was so mad, my phone was stolen and I hadn't even left it but 5 feet away. The two people who I thought were looking at Oakleys actually stole my phone. What is wrong with people? How could they just do that? My dad started calling my phone and we walked around looking if someone was answering it. No luck with that. Then we talked to security/customer service and they were pretty worthless.
My dad said wait let me use this app to try to find your phone-but it didn't work because the people had turned my phone off. I have a pass code on it but they probably are going to wipe it clean.
I was so pissed that I felt sick to my stomach. I was so mad that someone would do that. The people in our society are seriously redonkulous!!! My dad and I drove to AT&T across from the mall and they pretty much said that same thing. I probably wasn't going to be able to find my phone. The guy said I could file a police report but that probably wouldn't go anywhere. So thank god we had an upgrade available and my dad just bought me a new iPhone 4. He felt as if he was responsible but he wasn't. Stefani probably won't be very pleased that I used her upgrade but I leave for PCB in 3 days and need a phone. Sorry Step!
So that was my eventful day. And my phone wouldn't backup to my old phone grrrrr!!
Maybe the people were so poorly educated that they thought it was still the AT&T store/kiosk. And who knows maybe they thought they bought it. Or maybe our society has thought us that if you see something laying around it must be free to just steal. People are really assholes! What happened to feeling like people generally wouldn't screw you over just because you aren't paying attention. This same thing happened to me about six months ago. The guy in front of me at Best Buy left his iPhone sitting on the counter. Instead of stealing his iPhone, like I guess is customary now in our society... I asked the clerk if they knew who left it. They of course knew nothing. I searched for the guy and returned it to him. I thought this was the right thing to do. What the hell was I thinking!?
